Wind Chill and Outdoor Activities

We closely monitor weather conditions, particularly during cold weather and wind chill periods. Before allowing students to engage in outdoor activities, we assess factors such as wind chill, exposure duration, and wind direction, taking advantage of wind protection in our yard depending on the wind direction. Our weather data is sourced from the University of Waterloo Weather Station to ensure accuracy.

Staff members pay special attention to younger students, ensuring they are adequately dressed for outdoor conditions. Teachers also keep a close watch on weather conditions, and if necessary, students will be brought indoors. It's essential for students to arrive at school well-prepared for winter weather to ensure their comfort and safety.
